ChineseThinking is a learning tool. By using it, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
Free and Pro tiers
Free tier: 5 AI chats and 3 challenges per day. Pro tier: unlimited usage, $9.99/month, billed monthly through the App Store. Cancel anytime; access continues until the end of the billing cycle. Refunds follow App Store policy.
What you can do
- Use the app to learn Chinese for personal study, work, or fun.
- Share screenshots of your progress on social media.
- Save your own challenge responses or mistake notes locally.
What you can't do
- Try to break, scrape, or overload the service.
- Use the AI to generate content that violates OpenAI's usage policies (illegal acts, harassment, deceptive content, etc.).
- Resell, rebrand, or redistribute Pro subscriptions.
The AI is a tool, not an authority
The AI partner can be wrong, awkward, or culturally off. It's designed to encourage practice, not to replace a human teacher. Don't rely on it for legal, medical, or financial Chinese translation.
Service availability
We aim for high uptime but can't promise zero downtime. If the service is unavailable for an extended period during your Pro billing cycle, contact us for a prorated refund.
Account closure
You can close your account anytime by signing out and emailing us a deletion request. We may close accounts that violate these terms.
Limitation of liability
ChineseThinking is provided "as is". We're not liable for indirect or consequential damages from using the app. Our maximum liability is whatever you paid us in the past 12 months.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of California, USA. Disputes go to courts in San Francisco County.
Changes
We'll update these terms when needed and post the new "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
